Vyšehrad, a place associated with the beginnings of Czech history, is worth a day's tour with a beautiful view of Prague. The gallery is housed in a former medieval watchtower and the place where the legendary Princess Libuše stayed. It presents graphic design and paintings by young artists.

  • The exhibition can be visited independently or as part of the Casemates to Gorlice tour.
  • Please note that the Powder Magazine is not wheelchair accessible. Public restrooms are available near the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul.

Vyšehrad is one of the most memorable places connected with the very roots of the Czech history. Situated on a rock overlooking the Vltava river it is the landmark of the southern part of Prague and an interesting observation point. The castle building over the place called the Libuše Bath has been adapted to serve as an exhibition hall of the Vyšehrad Gallery.

Ancient legends situate the original seat of the Czech princes – the legendary Princess Libuše – on Vyšehrad. The building that is now the Vyšehrad Gallery is the remains of a Medieval watchtower. The gallery holds graphic design exhibitions.
