The architecture of the Stone Bell House offers irreplaceable authentic premises, including original wall paintings and fragments of sculptures decorating the facade and interiors. Visitors will have an opportunity to view the original Gothic cellars and to trace the architectural development of the Stone Bell House, including the enlargement of the terrain of this part of Old Town Square where the house was erected in the late 13th and early 14th century.
The painting and sculpture decoration from the time of John of Luxembourg’s ascent to the throne are presented at several places. The wall paintings in the ground floor chapel will allow the visitors to acknowledge the spiritual world of its inhabitants, while the torsi of royal statues and infantry knights from the facade will show the high quality of sculpture art in Prague at that time.
One of the highlights is a freely accessible Gothic chapel, which is situated in the bookstore and is open from 10:00 to 18:00.
