Since 1993, organ concerts at St. Francis Church have been a magnet for Prague's music connoisseurs. Their unquestionable calling card is their high level performers and versatile programme.
St.Francis of Assisi church is located on the oldest crossroads of Prague - which is on the Old Town end of Charles Bridge. This Baroque church was built in 1681–1689 by the Order of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, which is a unique Czech medieval knight order, existing until today. The rare Baroque organ of St.Francis church constructed in 1702 is the second oldest organ instrument in Prague. It was played by such celebrated artists as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonin Dvořak.
The concerts have been organized by JCH ART AGENCY since 1993 and are famous for their high level of performing artists, as well as an attractive program - featuring not only well-known compositions like Ave Maria, but also various beautiful pieces by European and Czech composers.
