The picturesque medieval town of Kutná Hora is part of the UNESCO World Heritage, situated approximately 60 km east of Prague. It owes its beauties and former riches to the local silver mines, which were exploited most intensively in the 14th and 15th centuries. At that time the town even rivalled Prague itself in terms of economical and cultural importance.
During this tour you will see lots of interesting and impressive sights: the unique Gothic Cathedral of St. Barbara - the patron saint of miners, Hrádek - a building which has a direct relationship with the town’s mining past, the Italian Court (Vlašský dvůr) which originally housed a Royal Mint producing 'grosch' - the single currency of medieval Central Europe, and the Gothic fountain.
