Prague is famous as the world’s beer-drinking capital and recently it became home to a fantastic multimedia attraction, telling the story of Czechia’s best-known beer brand. Pilsner Urquell Experience welcomes visitors to an immersive adventure, whereby they can follow the story of this iconic drink, enjoy tasting and even try to pour it like a professional.
Created in the city of Plzeň (western Bohemia) in the 1840s and still brewed to its original recipe, Pilsner Urquell has an important place in the country’s history and culture. And now you don’t have to travel far to learn more about it – as the new attraction is located right in the heart of Prague, near the bustling Wenceslas Square.
Covering 3,000 square metres across 3 floors the historic City Palais building, the Original Beer Experience Tour takes you on an unforgettable journey, using state-of-the-art technology. Visuals, smells and sounds will transport you to the Pilsen brewery of centuries past and tell you the story of how the original golden beer was born.
Part of your multimedia experiences include a 360° interactive game zone, and of course no such tour is complete without sampling the legendary drink in beautiful surroundings of the Beer Hall.
Besides the Original Tour full of audio-visual effects, guests are welcome to participate in Tapster Academy , the experience where you will be taught the art of pouring a perfect Pilsner. Learn the difference between dry and wet foam, 3 typical Czech pours called hladinka, šnyt and mlíko and other important know-hows of a professional tapster.
